The DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington offers a convenient location near the airport and downtown Burlington, with a warm atmosphere and amenities like a heated pool and free parking. Recent reviews highlight a generally positive experience, particularly with the friendly staff and comfortable rooms, though some concerns about cleanliness and noise have been raised.
We loved this hotel, nice staff! Clean and big! Good location just a quick less than 10min drive to town. Really nice pool (warm!) and in a warm room too.
It's a nice hotel with a good location. My only complaint is there shuttle van says "your warm cookie awaits" but we were never given or offered any cookie... warm or otherwise. They should paint over that if it no longer exists. .
Friendly and helpful front desk. Spacious and clean rooms. Big heated pool was warm enough for kids (could’ve been warmer for adults just standing in it). Gym on smaller side and not 24 hours. Restaurant in lobby convenient and food was fine. Easy to drive to Burlington and UVM. Stowe about 45-60 mins drive. Outdoor strip mall across street/highway. Ample free parking. Delicious warm cookies.
Very pleased with our unexpected stay at the Burlington Doubletree following a flight cancellation. Our rooms were brand new and service was very pleasant. As a Diamond I was granted credits that took care of breakfast. Would certainly stay here again. Well done!
Rooms we stayed in were older. Reported a high pitch squeal to the front desk coming from the heating unit upon arrival. Was told they would send an "engineer" to inspect. Returned 4 hours later and still squealing, asked to move to a new room and they moved me without any issue. The next room black out curtains only, no sheers on the ground floor and poor room lighting (let them know, and wasn't fixed), luckily we weren't in the room much. Bathrooms do not have fans. The staff was quite friendly and the atrium and pool were a big hit. Atrium is a great place to sit with friends. The room was a standard double bed room, the rate we got was great. Interesting hotel layout, a bit of a maze and elevators do not access all parts of the building. So it was interesting carrying all my kids hockey gear to the room. Best to ask for the 1st floor.
Only 6 min from the airport, which was my main concern. Room was a little difficult to get to (was on the 1st floor, but still had to go up and down stairs??) & had a slightly mildew smell (according to my friends’ sensitive nose). That might be from the indoor pool, though, which wasn’t far from our room. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again. It’s under construction with a new addition, so keep that in mind (it didn’t affect our stay).
As being a Hilton rewards member, I would give this place a less than one star. As when I made my reservation, I asked if there was a hot tub and I was told yes during my stay my husband and I attempted to find the hot tub and went to the front desk to ask and was told there was no hot tub, and then I asked for a discount in my room because we were looking for a place with a Hot tub and I was told no and then I Asked for a manager and he said there was no manager on duty, but he was the best next thing. I called the local number that was on their website when I placed my reservation and I told the gentleman this and He ensure me that none of his staff would’ve said there was a hot tub. I gave the gentleman the local number I called and told him I expect a discount at checkout and still didn’t get one. This was one of the flaws out of many during our stay. There was no microwave in the room, the shower temperature was either very hot or very cold with no pressure at all.
Clean, comfortable rooms with complementary water and coffee. The hotel breakfast is phenomenal! Very friendly staff and shuttles offered to/from airport and UVM. Felt very safe as a solo woman.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Hilton DoubleTree. The room was not up to the standards I expected, especially considering the brand’s reputation. The cleanliness was poor from the moment I walked in. The bathroom was the worst part, it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time. There were visible stains, grime in the corners, and an overall feeling that the space was not sanitized. For a hotel that typically prides itself on comfort and quality, this was a major letdown. I hope management takes these cleanliness issues seriously, because the current state is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here until improvements are made.
This is a really great hotel for those looking to visit Stowe and Burlington. Daniel was great in getting me an early room assignment and also a room upgrade. The hotel also has a lot of extras like a free shuttle that goes to downtown and to the airport. Also really great for resting in the room. The room had free streaming HBO (no account required). Also the bed was really nice. Also if you are going to Stowe make sure to rent a car at the airport. (There are not any Ubers at Stowe). The hotel has free parking. Highly recommended and felt at home here!
