The Hampton Inn in Burlington receives generally positive reviews, highlighting friendly staff and a convenient location near I-89. While praised for its breakfast and pool, concerns regarding dated room conditions and cleanliness issues persist. Recent stays have emphasized the hotel's value and overall pleasant experience.
I attended an event here. My check in was fast, easy and I had a couple of questions and the staff at the front desk was very helpful. My room was nice, bright and clean. The place was nice and quiet which I thought was a plus. In the morning, the breakfast was better than average I thought and the selection was pretty good. I will absolutely stay here again.
I asked for a 3:00 p.m. check out when I booked the room and paid about 50% more booking through Hilton directly to get this. I was told late check outs were based upon availability and availability looked good, so I booked it. The guy at the front desk said there was no mention of a 3:00 p.m. check out, but it probably shouldn't be a problem given that about 60% of the rooms were available. He could only approve 2pm and to check in the morning. I went down in the morning and the two women at the front desk absolutely refused the 3:00 p.m. check out because I was not diamond status regardless of what corporate told me upon booking. They could have at least said they would ask a supervisor when they came in and let me know. I called corporate where I booked the room and they wouldn't do anything except call the hotel who again refused. My wife and dog were waiting in the room and I had to cut my ski day with my kid short because of this. I understand there was snow but they had the rooms and made it clear it wouldn't have been a problem if I was a diamond member. $75 for a small dog is also ridiculous. Too many other good hotels in the area.
Ive stayed here a couple times now (multiple nights each time) and it was consistently good. Its located conveniently close to lots of great Burlington spots. Our rooms were always clean and the breakfast was always well stocked.
The staff is all very pleasant and helpful. Decent price, good breakfast, clean lobby and good facilities. Rooms are dated, carpets are dirty, furniture is old and in a state of disrepair. Had an extension cord running across the floor and into cabinet to power a pump.
This is a nice place to stay. They offer a hot breakfast with many choices from pastries and cereals as well as eggs/omelets and meats. Although we didnt swim, there was a nice pool in there that I walked by and plan on using during our next stay there. The staff that we interacted with were all very nice and helpful. Highly recommend to stay here.
I'm from VT originally and stayed here NOV 2025 while I was in town for a memorial service. Fifth floor room was AWESOME. Loved the vaulted ceiling - didn't feel like a hotel. Bed was comfy. Staff was super nice. Lobby was inviting and the coffee was always ready. Would totally stay here again.
We requested a two room suite from reservation counter. We paid online and then decided to call the hotel to verify that we got what we thought we were getting. Hotel staff said that they couldn't guarantee a joining rooms but they would "try and block off the rooms " to have them be ajoining at check in. So we crossed our fingers and as luck would have it , everything was just as she promised. The stay was clean and lived up to Hilton name However, on check out , somehow the virtual credit card reservation counter.com was using some how didn't work. The staff charged us for it in error (we had paid in full at time of booking). When I noticed the charge I called the hotel. Greg answered the phone, looked at the charges, I could smell the smoke from the speed of his keystroke and next thing I knew , I had a refund in my credit card statement ! Thank you, that was easy ! Overall good experience at this hotel. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but not bad, the cookies in the reception area were also a bonus. There were some snacks in the fridge that had been clearly left from the guests before, which was kind of gross. Shower was just OK, but the shampoo, conditioner and products were good.
A pretty basic place to stay; the essentials are fine but when paying peak prices the lack of attention to detail (maintenance issues) and obvious corporate penny pinching (scratchy toilet paper, lack of renovation, outdated technology) give a poor impression. I would have been happy at $115 / night but will seek other hotels in the future when we have a chance to book further in advance.
This is a very good hotel that is worth the money. The location is everything! I-89 is right outside and everything that Burlington has to offer is within a 15 minute drive. Our air conditioner wasn't working well the first night we stayed there, and maintenance was very quick to respond and fix the problem. I definitely recommend this place.
