This hotel was absolutely the best.Nothing to criticise and we are pretty discerning and well travelled .The location and hotel vibe made us feel great and the kind,caring staff who responded to our every wish were outstanding.This was our first time in the USA.I think the Amis have beaten everything re our hotel experiences in Europe re staff and customer service,caring genuine,helpful and humble and very willing to give insider info re Vermont and the culture to inquisitive guests.Thankyou dear Hotel Vermont ,the best experience and service in every respect,we could have dreamed of.Thoroughly recommendable and ideally located.For even the fussiest customer,you will not be disappointed;their aim is to please and boy are they good at it,real professionals.Thankyou from our hearts.Praise to every single employee.Tracy who helped us settle in and showed us with his calm,kind,reassuring demeaner to our room probably had the toughest job as we were jet lagged and tired on arrival and had experienced some disappointment,but boy did he succeed to change that energy.What a valuable employee for this hotel!He created an oh so positive impression,calm ,kind with a natural radiance that just lifted a weary traveller.But EVERYONE who worked here was great,not one bad vibe anywhere.How do you do it,you are genuinely kind human beings,NOTHING was too much trouble,reception and rest staff polite and much more, so you deserve praise and a full hotel every week ,your staff are EXEMPLARY and all deserve the best working conditions any hotel could offer.You honestly are exceptional.From Switzerland, Zambia to almost everywhere in Europe to Australia and more, you beat All hotels we have ever stayed in when it comes to staff kindness and thus we are in your debt ,a privilege to have stayed at Hotel Vermont.

We had such a great experience at Hotel Vermont thanks to Sarah at the bar! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Even when it was busy, she provided fast service and still took the time to go above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience. Sarah was a huge part of what made our night so enjoyable, and we will definitely be back because of her!

If you want a nice, eco-Vermont, local hotel with excellent service and comfortable everything, this is your place! One of The Best hotels I've stayed in, and I have traveled the world. Lots of heartfelt, human, local touches. The complimentary espresso/coffee/tea (with oat milk!) and chilled water stations were great. Loved the forest vibes. Can't wait to come back!

Hotel Vermont I stayed here from Saturday, 11-8-25 - Tuesday, 11-11-25 with a partner and it was such a cozy as well as comfortable experience. When you walk into the lobby of hotel VT, you are greeted by a kind reception to your left, a cozy fireplace on the right which is a nice place to have a drink or read a book. The elevator lobby has a lovely plant setup to make it look more elegant and modern. Hotel Vermont is a place we considered a temporary home for the 3 nights we stayed. The hallway lighting which is slightly dim, but gives modern looks with the lighting outside your room door. The nice complimentary coffee and water section, adjacent to the elevator bank is a really considerate and nice feature to have so close to the room, which has a nice little weekly letter of events happening at the hotel! (Unfortunate we didn’t make any of them) Our room was incredibly cozy and one regret that I have is not taking a day to relax in the hotel and utilize all the amenities that were available to us. We had a beautiful queen wooden bed (Which I didn’t know) had a pull out bed underneath it, a nice wool blanket to keep extra comfort, the nice painting of the tree on the side, as well as the picture of Vermont just made everything feel so genuine and authentic! I loved my little chair in the corner, as well as the love seat. When my partner was napping, I’d sit in either one to watch tv or the sun set over lake Champlain from our window. The desk underneath the tv with the vintage radio to plan your agenda was also so cool. Small details like this are what made it feel more like a home than a hotel. Juniper restaurant was very cozy also and had a lot of original Vermont classics as well as American dining. We had drinks there prior to having dinner. Cannot express how much we loved the bartender there for her recs on the cocktails as well as the charcuterie. Room for improvement: I would recommend better blinds since at times the chain would get stuck in the controller. This is normal, but could have slightly better ones I don’t know if the fridge didn’t have sufficient cooling or was never fixed, but to store our cheese from the dairy farm we purchased off of, reception was kind enough to allow us to store it for the duration of our stay. Besides those two mishaps, lovely stay and would definitely go back for another fall getaway or maybe summer! Definitely recommend for the perfect fall/winter getaway whether it’s 3-5 days or just a stop in your New England journey!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Vermont hotel, and the customer service alone deserves a five-star review. When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled and we were stuck in Burlington for an additional 10 hours, the staff went above and beyond without hesitation—graciously offering us an extended checkout that completely took the stress out of an already frustrating situation. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made us feel so well cared for throughout our stay. The restaurant on site was another highlight—fantastic breakfast options to start the day and equally impressive dinner. We also loved seeing the hotel support local artists by offering locally made mugs in the rooms—such a thoughtful touch that genuinely elevated the in-room coffee experience. This hotel embodies Vermont hospitality at its finest. We’re so grateful for the kindness shown to us and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This is possibly the best hotel I have stayed at. The staff is super inviting the rooms are great. The food is out of this world. The carbonated water and expresso machine in the hall way are game changing! When I arrived this Monday I received a card and fresh fruit in my room.

If you are staying please make sure to tell of any specific celebrations such as an art show for a college student, or a wedding anniversary. They do small things that are special. If you get a chance to dine at Juniper. Then ask for Kalani. He is amazing and gives amazing wine pairing recommendations!!!!! The entire team works to make all guests feel welcome and embraced. We were blown away and plan to stay there again in the future!

We've been making our way around the Burlington hotels as part of our regular UVM parent runs. Hotel Vermont is a standout so far, and miles above the adjacent Champlain and Marriott hotels for what could be around the same room rates, if you look for off season or book early. Service, ambiance, lobby, restaurant - all fabulous. We loved the Hotel Vermont. We got a great AAA rate the night before check in for the start of the 2nd semester. I'm sure it's pricier in October but off season it's a fairly affordable gem.

Loved this hotel so much! As a multi-generation Vermonter I love the character of this hotel and the support of local businesses. Many thoughtful touches that made our stay more comfortable than any hotel I’ve stayed at.

Good location, very walkable to all the activities we had planned. Staff were all gracious and thoughtful and knowledgeable about the area. Hotel was clean and quiet. Our room had a slightly odd design (the shower and toilet were split) but really had beautiful finishes. Overall great experience.
