The Holiday Inn Express South Burlington – Downtown consistently receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient location near the airport and downtown Burlington. While some guests note minor issues like room size and elevator noise, the overall experience is described as comfortable and welcoming, particularly for travelers with early morning departures or those seeking proximity to local attractions like Al’s French Fries.
What we like: - The room we stayed might be the cleanest among all the Holiday Inn Expresses we'd been in. Like just built or renovated. Staff is friendly and helpful. - Location is OK, just a few minutes' drive away from downtown Burlington. We we don't like: - The curtain didn't block the window completely, so the room got bright early in the morning. - The vanity in the bathroom is taller than usual, definitely too much for kids. - The elevator made very loud noise, and the inspection had expired!
Great service and clean rooms. One of the better hotels we stayed in on our 10 day vacation with 3 other couples. Breakfast was better than most other motels. Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
We got in late and Kyle at the front desk was extremely helpful. He had the keys ready, scheduled transportation for us the next morning, and quickly gave us all the information we needed so we could get to our rooms without delay. His warm demeanor and efficiency was so refreshing. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
I was only staying overnight to get to the airport early morning. I was greeted by a very sweet lady, I didn't get her name but she was super sweet. The hotel smelled really good and it was SUPER clean!!! I was sent here through my company, and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't get to experience breakfast because I left early but fancy coffee and tea machines are available 24/7 in the lobby and they have the good ice machines on each floor. If I'm ever back in VT most definitely staying here. Oh, walking distance to Little Ceasers, McDonald's and a burger joint.
????? ????? I had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn Express South Burlington! ? The location couldn’t be more convenient- super close to the airport ?? and just minutes from downtown Burlington. After traveling over 20 hours straight from the West Coast ?, they graciously allowed me to check in early and check out late, which made such a difference. I’m incredibly thankful for that flexibility! The breakfast was absolutely amazing ?? fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day. Suzette and Christine greeted everyone with beautiful smiles and provided outstanding customer service. Their warmth truly made the stay extra special ?? The hotel gym is also really nice ? clean, well-maintained, and perfect for getting a workout in before hitting the slopes. And as a bonus, Al’s French Frys ? is a true community staple located just across the street- such a fun and convenient local spot to grab a bite! For winter sports lovers, the hotel is ideally located- both Stowe Mountain Resort ?? and Smugglers’ Notch Resort ? are less than an hour away! I was so grateful to rest and recharge here before snowboarding competitions at each. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area- comfort, convenience, and exceptional service all in one place ????
Christine served a wonderful breakfast- spanish omlettes were wonderful. Room was beautiful and clean no odors. Shower pressure not very strong and hot water not very hot. Fitness center small but totally adequate and useable. Very friendly people nice stay.
Nothing special about this place. Corporate cookie-cutter hotel. If you've stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before, you know what to expect and this one delivers but makes no attempt to surpass those expectations.
Good 10 day stay here while visiting Vermont. Two issues - there is no ice machine on the 3rd floor, so we had to make twice daily trips to floor 2 for ice, which was a nuisance. There was another day that our room missed housekeeping; when inquired about this the next day, was told that they were short-staffed that day (?) and therefore we did not receive service. To the desk person's credit that evening, (tall, ginger haired man, I think his name was EJ), he was quite apologetic and kind, and brought us clean towels very promptly considering there were numerous customers in the lobby that evening. Christine, in the breakfast dining area, was *stupendous* at keeping the food trays filled and fresh, the area clean and tidy and always, always had a smile on her face. Definitely recommend the hotel for short or extended stays - just stay on floor 1 or 2 if ice is important to you!
Newly renovated hotel. The room I stayed in was best described as smallish, plain and sparse. The bathroom was too small, almost closet like. One SMALL, dirty window (big huge smudge on outside) overlooking flat roofed buildings. Rate was $154 + fees. Really? Seriously? This was a $99. Room at best. Won’t return.
room was nice - bathroom tight - small - ok complaints - came back around 8pm started brushing my teeth - no cups- no cups in the room - not in the bathroom or main room - this is their standard practice per the front desk-- never had this cheapness anywhere- went for ice told to go to 2nd floor and it was not working - went back down and manager sitting in entrance way seemed annoyed - said use one on 1st floor but it had a sign "out of order"- went back to manager who seemed put out and she went to machine - don't pay attention to sign - machine worked I guess they did not want people to use it. stayed at this location when it was a Wyndham no problems..a lot of other hotels in the area to choose from and will not stay here again.
